About Us
The Hive at The Newark Academy is more than just a Library!
It is a brand new, fun and relaxing place for all students; whether you need to work hard on your homework or just want a place to enjoy at break and lunchtimes - there is something for everyone. We have around 8,000 books that you can borrow, lots of subscriptions to the latest magazines and newspapers and a range of activities from chess to Uno!
Based on the top floor of our brand new school, The Hive is an engaging, fun and safe place to spend your break and lunchtimes. We are open every day during term-time 8.30am-5pm (4.30pm on Fridays).
We have a number of TNA+ clubs that take place in the Library, including Homework @ The Hive, Radio Club, Young Authors Club and a club for students who enjoy the fantasy card game: 'Magic- the Gathering'.
